Pre-Installation Checklist

Before starting the installation process, verify and confirm the following requirements.

Hardware and Resources

• CPU, RAM, and Storage resources match the deployment documentation requirements.
• The target storage device (Disk or RAID Array) has been identified.
• If RAID is used, the RAID array has been created before booting from the installation ISO.
• Whenever possible, the operating system installation target is an SSD.

Administrative Access

• iLO access information, including IP Address, Username, and Password, is available.
• The iLO license (if required) is active, and Remote Console and Virtual Media are available.
• If installing through iLO, the Plaivid Installation ISO has been mounted using Virtual Media.
• If installing from a USB Flash Drive, a bootable USB has been created using the Plaivid Installation ISO, and the correct Partition Scheme and Boot Mode have been selected according to the server firmware (UEFI or Legacy BIOS).
• If installing from DVD/CD, the installation media has been created successfully and inserted into the server.
• The server Boot Device order is configured to boot from the selected installation media (Virtual Media, USB Flash Drive, or DVD/CD).

Network

• Management network information, including IP Address, Prefix, and Default Gateway, is available.
• The iLO network cable is connected.
• Port 1 is connected to the Management network.
• All other required network ports are connected according to the infrastructure design.

BIOS Configuration

• The server power profile is configured as Performance High or Performance Max Virtualization.
• Intel Hyper-Threading is enabled.
• Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) is enabled.

Safety Checks

0/20%

• If the server contains existing data or services, the necessary technical coordination has been completed to prevent accidental data loss.
• If the server is connected to a SAN Storage, the SAN connection has been disconnected before installation.

After completing all items in this checklist, the server is ready for Plaivid installation, and you can proceed with the installation process.
